Mason County Schools

This past weekend, something truly special happened.

The Straub Mini Smiles Club hosted their first-ever Inclusive Dance Party — and it was nothing short of magic. Thanks to the incredible hearts of Jennifer Kidd, Brandis Cox, and Rhonda Whisman, students and guests from Mason, Bracken, Lewis, and Fleming County came together to dance, laugh, and simply belong.

None of this would have been possible without the AWARE Grant, Mason County Staff, Maysville City support, our community, and every single student who showed up and showed out. Our Mini Smiles Club, HS Cheerleaders, YMCA Mini Wildcat Cheerleaders, and Smile Club members brought the energy and the love.

This is what it looks like when a community chooses kindness. This is what it looks like when we include everyone at the table — or in this case, on the dance floor.

To every person who made this happen: THANK YOU!!!! You made the world a little bit better this weekend. We can't wait for what comes next from our Mini Smiles.
