Title 1

Holly Kimble
Instructional Supervisor & Title 1 Director

Title 1 is a federally funded program that provides additional financial support to schools to meet the educational needs of students.  These funds are provided to qualifying districts to improve student performance and assist students in meeting Kentucky’s Academic Standards.  Based on identified needs of schools and students, programs incorporating evidence-based practices are designed to create a culture of success.  These practices are implemented by highly qualified staff.

All Mason County Schools receive resources associated with Title 1, using the school-wide improvement model.  The purpose of the school-wide program is to continuously upgrade the entire educational program.  Title 1 program funding enables our schools to provide:

  • Highly qualified teachers

  • A variety of evidence-based instructional resources

  • Additional professional development for school staff

  • Parental involvement activities

Increasing parent, family and community involvement is one of the goals of Mason County Schools.  We want to invite you to be active partners in your child’s education.  Please contact your child's teacher or school principal to learn more about how you can be involved in your child’s education.
