Are you ready to give life to your dream career in health care? 

A career in the medical field can be rewarding, if you’re ready for the challenge.

  • Learn the basics of the health care industry, such as patient care, communication skills, industry expectations, patients’ rights, and privacy laws

  • Earn your State Registered Nurse Aide in 11th grade

  • Options to complete Kentucky Medication Aide and Advanced Nurse Aide certifications

  • Complete the college requirements while in high school to enter the nursing program upon graduation

Want a career in healthcare but not sure which direction you want to take? Then this program is for you!! The Health Sciences program provides the secondary student with orientation, exploration, and preparation into the health care industry. 

The Level I Health Science course can help you figure out where you are headed with a blend of clinical and administrative skills, anatomy and physiology, medical terms, and experience in multiple healthcare settings. 

Wondering if the world of medicine is right for you? The Level II course is designed to pave the road to become a SRNA to find out. This class prepares you for the Kentucky certification exam. Experience learning basic patient care in the classroom and lab and then give that care to patients in the long term care setting. Explore the many opportunities in the medical field. You'll be immediately employable after certification; this is a high demand occupation.
