My name is Estefanía Fernández and I am originally from Spain. I am excited to say that I have been a member of Mason County School system since 2010 and I am looking forward to working with them for many years.
I went to school in Málaga, Spain my whole life but I was lucky enough to visit other countries as an international student during my college years. I studied in Newcastle, England for a semester and in Dublin, Ireland, for a summer course. These experiences taught me the importance of language and culture exposure when trying to achieve proficiency in a language as well as obtaining global awareness.
These experiences drove me to apply for the Visiting Teachers program and I was very lucky to receive an oportunity to come to the United States. Since then, I have embraced the culture and enjoyed every single day of my proffesional and personal life in Maysville.
I have been married since 2010 and I have three dogs. My husband and I enjoy traveling to new places and visiting Spain, where my family still resides.
I hold pride on making my students feel comfortable and I would consider it to be my strongest skill to treat students nicely, as I believe that everyone always enjoy a smile and kind words.
