Welcome to the Mason County Career Magnet School (MCCMS). The primary purpose of MCCMS is to serve high school students by enhancing and expanding student career options that lead to continuation of education at the postsecondary level and/or successful employment upon graduation from high school.
Time and Cost Savings
We offer many programs at Mason County Career Magnet School that could cost thousands of dollars if you took the same training after high school. Through dual credit agreements offered with Maysville Community & Technical College, students earn college credit for free! This can save a lot of tuition money and fast-track your career at the same time.
MCCMS also offers students the opportunity to take industry certification exams in order to work and advance in their fields for free! Not only will this put you ahead of your peers in the workplace, but it will allow you to graduate high school with college credit.
A Starting Point, Not An Ending Point
Career Technical Education (CTE) programs at MCCMS provide high school students with academic and technical skills, knowledge, and the training necessary to succeed in future careers. Programs have been developed with industry and post-secondary partnerships to ensure our curriculum is current with industry standards. Students who graduate from CTE programs have multiple options for their future, including continuing their education at colleges and universities, entering the workforce directly, or pursuing advanced technical training.
