Mason Co. ATC HOSA Partners Up with KODA

Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) states that hundreds of Kentuckians are waiting for a second chance at a healthy, productive future through organ, cornea and tissue transplantation.  By becoming a donor, at the time of death one person can potentially save up to eight lives through organ donation and heal more than fifty others through tissue and cornea donation.  Mason County ATC HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) is hosting a “Donate Life” Drive to raise awareness about the importance of organ donation, in hopes of increasing the number of people on the organ donor registry. To become an organ donor, you must be 16 years or older, and have a valid form of identification.  During November 14th – November 26th, Mason Co. ATC HOSA members will be accepting new applicants to join the KY Organ Donor Registry. Our goal is to get 65 new individuals to sign up as organ donors. You have the power to save lives! We would greatly appreciate community participation in this event. If you would like to help or if you need more information, you may contact our HOSA chapter through facebook, email or by going to the KODA website. (Contact information is listed below.)
